2008 CONCERT
The 2008 Concert, “Dancing the Blues Away,” at the Dairy Center for the Arts on Friday, October 3rd and Saturday, October 4th at 8:00 pm, and a Sunday matinee on October 5th at 2:00 pm. Tickets will go on sale September 1st through the Community Box Office at 303-444-SEAT (7328) or access the website at www.thedairy.org. Choreographers this year are: Adjei Abankwah, Sol Benson & Chris Nuernberger, Ying Chang and Pat Connelly. The performers are: Adjei Abankwah, Sol Benson, Ying Chang, Camille Hensley, Rita Jenkins-Gaynes, Beth Moger & Chris Nuernberger.
Guest Artists - 2008 CONCERT
Several community dancers are joining the company for the 2008 Concert, “Dancing the Blues Away”. They are: Bela Geczy, Hope Meyer, Julia Moritz and Bryan Nishi.
- Bela Geczy is a local businessman who has been dancing Salsa since 2005. He learned improvisational comedy from the Bovine Metropolis Theater in Denver; is a graduate of the Bovine’s Players Workshop West; and performed in the grad show “Joy of Six”.
- Hope Welles Meyer is a massage therapist, a founding member of Dancin’ Divas, and studies ballroom dance with Julius Reinante & Pat Connelly and country line dancing at Avalon.
- Julia Moritz manages a medical practice; is an artist; and also a member of Dancin’ Divas. In January 2007 she began studying ballroom dance with Pat Connelly and Julius Reinante to fulfill a New Year’s resolution and life-long dream.
- Bryan Nishi is floor manager and sound technician at the Boulder's Dinner Theatre. He is an avid swing & Lindy Hop dancer, and performed for the first time at the 2008 Boulder Creek Festival, dancing a rumba duet.
2008 Other Events
The company will be performing at 2008 Dance is For Everybody on Sunday, November 9th at the Boulder Public Library Auditorium. Check out www.artsresource.org for more information and schedule of appearances.
Look for Pat Connelly and Julius Reinante at the second annual YWCA of Boulder
County benefit, "Dancing With Boulder's Stars" on October 16, 2008 at the Boulder Theater. Six local celebrities and six professional
dance instructors will show off their skills and dance talents in
this memorable event. For tickets & information, visit the YWCA's

Classes/Events
Blue Moon Dance Company members teach workshops and classes
through different studios and organizations year-round. Company
members are available for private lessons and for appearances at
local charities and events.
Pat Connelly and Julius Reinante teach ballroom,
swing, salsa and children’s classes through the Boulder Valley

Pat Connelly teaches an ongoing, year-round swing/ballroom
class for couples at Kakes Studio every Sunday night from 5:30 to
7:00. Call Pat at 303-443-3262 for information and class rates.
She offers private lessons in ballroom, swing and partnering (lifts
& acrobatics).
Sol Benson is available for private lessons as a movement coach. She can be reached at 720-841-4946.
